Nose piercing problem

Please give advice if you know what I’m on about. I had a nose piercing 3 months ago. All healed fine. My DH paid a lot of money for a libret (?) type of stud. I’m embarrassed as I can’t get it in. I’ve had the corkscrew type and the L type but the back won’t go through the hole either side and the screw side doesn’t seem to appear to the inside to begin to screw on. Do I go back to piercing studio to make hole bigger. I can’t not wear this as it was so expensive. Any one help here?

I spent forever just trying to get this type in the top of my ear, I can’t imagine trying to do it in my nose. I then saw a video where they put a needle through the hole first, makes so much sense!
maybe Google a video for instructions, but basically put something longer through the hole first.

How do you put in a labret nose stud?

put an earring or seeing needle in the piercing and then put the labret post on the pointy side of the earring/needle. then slowly slide it out to help you guide the labret in. if it's partially in the hole but not coming out the other side you can gently squeeze your nose to help push it through.

Sounds like the labret is a lower gauge than what you were wearing (not convinced by switching so soon for the other types personally, our local ones all say 6 months is far better - but I know it isn't a universal thing).

Definitely go back to your piercer. You might need it to be enlarged, giving you another 3+ months of healing, but it could just be a matter of angles and confidence - and not trying repeatedly, causing your nose to swell.

I'll be surprised if it is fully healed.
I waited until I downsized before changing my stud/jewel.
I go to the piercee and he changes mine, he said they are tricky and when you've paid a lot for the jewel, you don't want to be losing it.

It's not healed after three months. The jewellery is internally threaded and will have been fitted using a taper/cannula or by following the needle depending on the technique the piercer has used.

The more you try the more damage you'll cause to the inside of your nose. Wait until you can see a piercer who will do it with everything properly cleaned and with the least amount of blunt force trauma to your skin.

I’ve been wearing a very thin ‘L’ shaped over Christmas and today, with a bit of effort and tweezers, I’ve managed to get the original bigger ‘c’ piercing back in. It’s promising after all this advice.
