Sending flowers

Which company do you use to send flowers to people in the UK? There are many covering nationally.

My friend lives in Herts and I want to thank her by sending flowers.

Bloom and wild have been sent to me from various people and it’s been like getting dead flowers. They claim to come to life but really don’t. I’d say 5-6 times I’ve binned them.

Yet they get brilliant reviews! The first time I got them I was horrified by the sight of a few floppy, dead looking stems. They did perk up and lasted a long time . On another occasion I complained as the quantity seemed too small, and I knew my daughter had paid a lot for them. They sent another bunch. If you want to give someone a lovely surprise then B&W probably isn’t the best way to send them, unless they’re aware of how they will look on arrival.

Honestly I've received and sent loads of bloom and wild and never been disappointed and their letterbox gifts are convenient (if not a tad on the pricey side) if you've forgotten a birthday!!

You must be easily pleased then! I’ve received six lots of letterbox flowers and inevitably they are limp, almost dead, sometimes with broken stems, and the quantity seemed too small for the money. I know they recover, but if you are not aware of how they are sent it will be a let down when you open the box. B&W say the blooms are “sleeping” More like in a coma! The firm is good to deal with, though, and if you are disappointed they will put it right by sending replacement blooms. I would consider using the firm the flowers were in a better state on arrival, and the quantity of blooms increased.

I received these. The ones in a letterbox cardboard box. The stems were limp and were the first to die of several birthday bunches.

Me too. Very disappointing. I didn’t have the heart to tell the sender.

Same, but I did tell B&W!

Either M&S or Bloom & Wild. Interesting to see lots of posters have had bad experiences of B&W.

greengreyblue · 05/12/2025 16:10

B&W arrived wilted.
Never had a bad M&S delivery.

I can't get bloom and wild to load properly... I know it's probably a bit late to think about sending my mum some flowers though.

I normally use Bunches but the last lot were awful. Really dismal in quality and they didn't last very well.

M&S I think are the best, only used Bloom and Wild once, the person was disappointed initially as they arrive in bud, but they did look lovely once they opened. But if I am sending flowers, I want them to look beautiful when they arrive.

They are a philistine 😂

I’ve just received some too … scrawny, sparse - I also send a photo to the giver - I wouldn’t embarrass them

Nice to support the charities that do bouquets:

Cancer Research have good reviews.

I think the best way is to contact a florist local to them directly.

Never knew this was an option - what a great idea

I’ve used eflorist a few times - the flowers are gorgeous, really generous and last ages. I highly recommend!

Lostsoultrip · 22/12/2025 19:11

I've received a few Bloom and Wild and they've always been limp and far more wild than bloom. They never seemed to perk up. I told my friend they were lovely of course but feel awful that she's sent them a few more times and they're always limp.

Marks and Spencers seem to be good. I've also used Interflora which is sorted by local florists and they've been excellent.

I never knew this was a thing. I'll do this from now on.
