DH used to have one but he didn't think it was aa good as TePe brushes. And he used to get water everywhere. There are good for washing was from your ears, apparently!

He didn't but a friend's DH did! Didn't use it for his teeth afterwards...

I had one once and it was hilarious. Like a supersoaker with an ultra fine spray. I kept missing my teeth and hitting the walls.

I have tepe brushes and an electric toothbrush now.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 29/12/2024 11:22

My hygienist said they’re a waste of money and time. And tepe brushes are much more effective

I gave up on mine after trying several times, but only managing to soak myself and the surrounding bathroom area! I also once got a very painful 'eyewash', which could have been so much worse if the water jet had been even slightly more to the right!

I love mine, it's not as effective as flossing but a lot better than nothing. I put a little mouthwash in the chamber and it has really improved my gum health. If you already floss diligently I wouldn't bother but if you don't it's worth a try. It does take a little getting used to - I find it easier to run it for a short whlle with my mouth closed and then pause it to spit. I've also heard people recommend doing it in the shower!

I have a Panasonic which is several years old. Use it every day and floss once per week.

You are supposed to close your mouth so water doesn't go everywhere!

useitorlose · 02/01/2025 14:25

I have post Invisalign wire retainers and can't floss my front teeth now. I find a water flosser really useful, but yes it does go everywhere!

I've just bought one. It was like a water park on my first go!

I'm persevering with it and will try some mouthwash in the chamber too.

I've got a Panasonic one and I absolutely love it. I do it in the shower (not when the shower is on) and my teeth have never felt cleaner.
