Loads of threads about the awful
Am sure some have had an insta worthy one.
Mine was just... nice
presents were good
food was decent.
Saw some friends and watched some good telly - gotta love Wallace and Grommit.
No major rucks
No matching pyjamas.
Today will be spent slobbing watching the football with possibly a short walk to stretch the legs
All very mundane

Technically we haven't had Christmas proper yet as DD was at her dad's and we do it on the 27th.

Christmas eve I spend doing some relaxed last minute shopping, nipping to M&S and get an odd selection of yellow stickered items for my Christmas eve dinner - their mini pickle pork pies get a big thumbs up this year.

But yesterday was spent at my parents, we had Christmas dinner, watched Trading Places, Father Ted and then some quiz shows and relaxed and ate Chocolate and crisps and had a couple of Snowballs.

Today mum and I nipped out to Boots to stock up on their sale bits as last minute gifts / next years bits then stopped off at the beach on the way back for a hot chocolate and a stroll. DDs just got back, so will have a chill day at home tidying and cleaning up a bit, cheese and crackers and a few other treats for dinner. Finish reading the book I've got on the go ready for the new ones Ill get tomorrow.

Tomorrow we are back at my parents for present opening, a 'picky' tea as DD doesn't actually like a roast.

The first time DD was away for Christmas when younger was rubbish but I've got my own rhythm and traditions now which I enjoy too and my mum and DBro work retail so stretching it out and doing it slightly later works much better for them when often they don't finish before midnight Christmas eve / start at 5am Boxing day

@Noidea2024 try a weighted blanket from kudd.ly absolute game changer for autistic DD. They are likely to have a sale now too. You want it to be roughly 10% of his body weight.

Average Christmas here too and we loved it. Easy breakfast of pastries, great gifts for me and DP without spending loads, DS extremely happy and a bit emotional getting his much longer for X box. Small family gathering for dinner which was lovely, followed by TV, wine, chocolate and a frankly bonkers but genius kahoot quiz created by DS (favourite questions include 'is a Jaffa cake a biscuit or a cake?' and 'danny dyer is rubbish at naming his kids - true or false?'
Everyone went for bed full of food and happy with a nice relaxing day.

Mine isn't much of a Christmas as I am on my own and the adults in the family don't do gifts to me or me them. I don't decorate either. However, I got some Christmas CDs and some DVDs of stuff I like (Blackadder - watched a few episodes this morning), Downton Abbey, Love Actually, Home Alone etc. I got a tub of heroes from my Boss which I am ashamed to say only took two days to finish!, an ex colleague got me a make up bag and some chocolate caramel teddies (yes they have gone too!). Another colleague got me some coffee creams (I love them) and when I ordered a pizza for my Christmas 'dinner' the guy gave it to me for free. SO pretty chuffed!

Oh and as I was working Christmas afternoon/evening I managed to defrost our fridge. It was hot in reception because next door had their heater on and I had a fan going but had to use our heater to defrost the fridge so I was sitting there sweating!
