Hoping to spread some joy and focusing on the good of Christmas this year, so what was your favourite part?

For me, DS is 4 and is just understanding Christmas and Santa better and seeing him pick out a mince pie and carrot and drink of Santa and Rudolph the night before as well as the sheer wonder and joy in his eyes this morning when he came downstairs was everything for me.

Opening my presents - which hasn't been the case for years, but today was amazing!

Cooking with dp for most of the afternoon, doing a soundtrack choosing songs in turn.

Yes that was me.
Cooking the Christmas dinner in my lovely kitchen and singing / dancing along to Alexa.
Being a really sunny day so i was able to enjoy that and through the window.
The diner was delicious and my dh and adult child throughly enjoyed it.
Said best one we've had.

I have loved reading these!

It's the first Christmas without my mum and I'm feeling a little bit emotional - ha!
So thank you everyone for sharing so far.

First one for us without mil.
Lost her in January
She'd left us something and I was finally able to put it up this week, as it no longer made me sad.
Did a toast at lunch time to her , and the other lost parents- dh shed a tear but still had good day.
