Christmas at my house

We had Christmas day yesterday. It definitely worked out so much better . Its much more relaxed and gave more time. So today is our boxing day really. Tomorrow the 2 younger go to their dad's for a few days . Adult ds has gone to work now.

Ds9 became very over whelmed and upset . Told me all the presents I got him were crap and I made it the worst Christmas ever. He now loves his hover board through 😅

The 4 oldest played on the Wii for hours. It was lovely to see them enjoy time together especially adult ds. He's always at work and his job is stressful so it was lovely he let his hair down.

Good he’s happier now but yes op, hope you told him how lucky he was to get gifts? Hope you have a nice evening x

Why would having it a day early give you more time though? That doesn’t really make sense.

I wouldn’t be laughing if my 9 year old thought it was remotely reasonable to complain that all their presents were crap. Sounds like a gross brat.

If the child thinks his presents are crap, then they can go either to charity shops or the Salvation Army etc. Maybe even a woman's refuge.

and

next year you cut back on his gifts

as he clearly has enough.

He has autism. He was overwhelmed and stressed and upset. I did not realise it would effect him in that way. I just said not to worry and he will feel better later. Just felt bad for him in a way

Or a child with autism who got overwhelmed and upset.

It gives more time as in . Adult ds had to go to work at 2pm . And will go back to his own place after work . Plus my youngest ds will go to their dad's early tomorrow morning. So its given us Christmas eve and today for us to have a Christmas instead of rushing it over the 1 day .

He has autism and got overwhelmed. I'm not going to punish him for that .

Well i did use the word overwhelmed. So I thought that would indicate something not standard. Apologies i did not think it through and was semi distracted as I was posting.
