Realistic 'non diamond' diamond

GreenJasper · 22/12/2024 12:08

I have very small earlobes so can't wear huge earrings anyhow.

I've always wanted a pair of real diamond stud earrings. I've tried the likes of qvc dialogue but their 'gold' is a horrible shade of yellow.

Could anyone recommend a place where I could get realistic pair of diamond a like studs?

I think 0.5 carat or thereabouts

I'd have thought most jewellery shops would have 9ct gold diamond studs in stock, either real diamonds, cubic zirconia or even the lab-created ones which are apparently very good.

I agree, most jewellers should stock that type of earing.

There is a diamond like stone called moissanite,.I have just bought a ring made from this stone, almost as hard as diamond, more sparkle, it's actually beautiful at a fraction of the cost, much cheaper than lab grown diamonds too, maybe worth considering.

What's your budget? You could get lab grown diamonds online or Moissanite if you want a bit of extra sparkle?

There are some excellent suppliers on AliExpress for this kind of thing - have a look at Kuololit, AttaGems, AnuJewel for instance

Very much buyer beware for jewellery from Aliexpress.

I bought some sterling silver earrings out of curiosity. They do not test as silver and I am not prepared to risk putting them in my ears. They probably contain nickel and possibly cadmium, both of which are banned for jewellery use.
