I posted something I’d made on the local Facebook page and got a number of likes. I posted something else I’d made it was removed by an admin along with the picture I’d posted originally that got likes and I’d been given a warning. I left a comment and an admin said it had been marked as spam?
I thought it was a general page and there didn’t seem to be any rules against it. I don’t know what I’ve done wrong and don’t know why I feel ashamed

Don’t give it a second thought. People in the local group have two weeks of mayhem ahead, they seem not thinking about this, so please chalk it up to experience and move on. There will be groups for you.

A local busybody is always posting photos of her garden, which she shares from her own page. Think “magnolia in flower” type posts. I wish her posts would get deleted. If I wanted photos of Jean’s garden, I would send her a friend request!

The admins usually think they are god. I would just leave the group.

The admins for Facebook groups are always bonkers and power goes to their head. I honestly wouldn't give it a second thought.

What did you make?

I admin two groups and I purposely don't get dictator-like with the rules. I just delete the spammers and repeat posts! I know exactly the type you mean and they piss me off

I certainly don't! I let the groups run themselves and exist solely to get rid of the annoying spammers. Please don't tar us all with the same labels

I’ve had my comments removed as spam in a group I use professionally - I can only assume it was some sort of algorithm that failed as I wasn’t sharing any links and was discussing the OP - it was actually a very dull and boring convo. So boring in fact that I can’t even remember what it was about.

Seems to have stopped now. No idea how it occurred. I don’t think it was admin that did it as it seemed automated.

Yes, if you want to show stuff you've made then you need to join FB groups specific to that. Eg cross stitch in cross stitch groups, crochet in crochet groups etc

Generally, local fb groups are for road's closed up the hill / there's a sheep in the road, anyone know which farm it's from? / whose front door is this? My parcel got delivered there and so on.
