DS8 will be tucking into hotdogs and potato waffles, while we're having our roast.

4 pheasant breasts from birds that were shot this morning. Fresh & organic. We usually have venison but we ate that this evening and bunged the rest in the freezer.

We alway have fish as we find meat too heavy. So smoked mackerel pate to start than a roast side of salmon with vine tomatoes capers, garlic and herbs.

We also have something chocolately for pudding. Warm chocolate cakes and ice cream this year.

Pigs in blankets pizza might be my 5 year olds best thing about Christmas 🤣

We are getting a Chinese delivered. Order already in. Can't wait Smile

We are having traditional Turkey dinner as with all the guests there'd be unhappiness if we didn't. Though I think we might be able to do something different next year as likely to be a different mix. Given free reign I'd like to do a spread of curries or lamb.

And go out for a nice Christmas dinner one day over Christmas.

AuntieMarys · 23/12/2024 07:47

Lamb shanks and mash.

drivinmecrazy · 23/12/2024 07:52

Deathraystare · 23/12/2024 07:58

@Maddy70
That is so cool! Where I used to work we would all bring in some food for our Christmas party. we particularly looked forward to the Sri Lankan doctor's snacks. Fond memories.

Snowangles · 23/12/2024 07:59

Duck

But I would also love the Indian takeaway our problem is there are no decent ones around here.
That sound fabulous though laid out on the table with crackers etc

Deathraystare · 23/12/2024 08:01

This year I might order a pizza. A guy comes regularly to our hospital with deliveries for the patients so it is a thought. It would only be a margaherita as I am not over fond of pizza

Nannyfannybanny · 23/12/2024 08:04

Every year DH says he doesn't like turkey. So this year I said pick what you do want,he loves lamb,I don't eat meat, and it's so expensive now, will only occasionally buy it if there's family over. Only my oldest DS and girlfriend this year,so he's picked gammon with some fancy coating.... marmalade?? I have an individual nut roast with a brie centre melt..

TinselToed · 23/12/2024 08:20

Steak, dauphinois potatoes and green beans for main course 😋

No one likes Turkey and we eat roasts every Sunday.

Hobbesmanc · 23/12/2024 23:43

We're eating out at a city centre gastro pub place. I'm veggie and I've already sat through three fairly mediocre veggie roasts with trimmings.

So I've chosen an artichoke pannocotta. Cashew blue cheese soufflé with pears and a damson tart. Lovely
