The neighbour's dog is called Amandine. She's a whippet or Italian greyhound. Named after Miss France, Amandine Petit.

PiastriThePastry · 21/12/2024 19:29

Dolly, Penny, Heidi, Bonnie… all names that didn’t quite make the cut when we got our v similar cavapoo girl!

Crumpet.

Buttered Crumpet on Sundays.

Or we could go classical and elegant with Camille, or Anais. What breed is she? Is she a spaniel/poodle mix?

For reference my dogs have been called:
Lizzie Dripping (childhood Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.)
And Knopka Pixie (chihuahua)

Yeah, that's my name on here.

Ooooh camille that's a good one

RitaIncognita · 21/12/2024 19:33

Dogs should have "people" names. My vote is for Sophie.

Wooptydodah · 21/12/2024 19:33

I say Portia
My mother says Maisie

KnopkaPixie · 21/12/2024 19:34

Completely useless here but my French friend had a German Shepherd called Henry Higgins. 'Enry 'Iggins '
He was the best dog.

Atinybird · 21/12/2024 19:43

Willow is a sweet name, also like Dolly

There's a similar looking dog on Tiktok called Crumpet. I love that name!

Come to think of it, she does look like a Maisie. She's a cutie, OP.

Seeing as she is half from Devon with Pastor Jack Russellbrings heritage and half French with her caniche heritage - maybe:

Lorna (As in Lorna Doone) or Tess (As in Tess of the D'Urbervilles) with another name that brings out the French like Éloïse.

Or you could just go with buttered crumpet.

Roselilly36 · 21/12/2024 19:55

Ahh you lucky duck, she is absolutely gorgeous, I like short names for dogs so my choices would be Tia, Pia, Molly, Polly, Lottie, or Zoe. Enjoy your lovely puppy.

Jostuki · 21/12/2024 19:56

Betty Boo (p).

Lottie.

workstealssleep · 21/12/2024 19:56

Poppy.

What a poppet.
