Random act of kindness

I have been on the receiving end of 2 in the past month and wanted to share!

A group of adults with learning disabilities accompanied by their carers approached me a couple of weeks ago whilst I was on a walk. One of the men was so excited to give to me a huge bunch of beautiful flowers wrapped in a lovely glittery red bow. The carer then explained that they had made them in a floristry class that morning and each of them were allowed to choose one random person to give their bunch to as an activity to improve their confidence. He picked me, I had a photo taken with him and it honestly has made my year.

Today, I picked up a little ziplock bag with a beautiful hand knitted Christmas tree and a little chocolate with a note saying ‘whoever finds me, I hope this brings you joy and you have a lovely Christmas’

I can’t believe it ,they have both cheered me up no end. With all the rubbish going on in the world, little gestures like this can really make a difference. I have been inspired to pay it forward!

I was curious to hear any random acts of kindness that you may have received / given / witnessed yourselves?

Someone gave me flowers randomly once. Very sweet.

It's always very kind when someone lets me in front of them in the supermarket queue when I only have a few things or when someone reaches to the top shelves for me if I can't reach.

Ah, lovely thread. Like a pp, someone let me in front of them in the supermarket the other day because I only had a couple of items. It made my day because I really needed to buy them and was worried about being late for the school run.

I saw someone helping an elderly couple at the Inpost lockers yesterday - they were calling the helpline because the elderly couple had a problem. I thought that was very kind.

I had broken both arms (another story) and one day while home alone had to go to a shop urgently. It was winter and I managed to slide my feet into boots but the laces were just dragging behind me as obviously I couldn’t tie them. I was a state! A lovely lady approached me and knelt down to do them up for me. I just remember feeling so helpless and utterly grateful for a stranger being there for me!
