Does anyone else feel they are catching the lurgy just in time for Christmas 🙁?

I felt really tired at the start of the week and now I’m sniffly, scratchy throat and headache. The office has been full of people with heavy colds etc and I can tell it’s getting me just in time for my time off and the celebrations! Anyone else?! Any tips of quick cures much appreciated!

Hope everyone starts to feel better soon, I’m stressing because if feels so close to Christmas!

Not had a day off work in nearly 12 years but have been off all week with it - feel bloody awful.

This is me! I woke up with heavy aching legs, and by 11am the huge shouty sneezes had started and now I am blocked up. :(

Yep. Have felt a bit rubbish all week - bad joints, ropey guts, sensitive teeth - and I have cold sores breaking out all over, including a massive one inside my nostril. My nose has been streaming and my eyes stinging, since this afternoon.

I did poke a stick up my good nostril, this evening, since I have some tests to hand - Ds2 is in school with very vulnerable kids and gets hit pretty hard, himself but can't communicate how he's feeling so it's useful to know what we're dealing with. . Negative.

I've been ill for a few weeks. At the end of Nov/start of December I had what was most likely Covid as it felt exactly the same as all the other times I've had it. Then it took a while to feel 'ok' again, then maybe 5 days later I came down with a bad cold. Felt 'ok' again apart from a cough since the weekend and today woke up with itchy throat and ears, sore throat and nose running like a tap. It's so bizarre and doesn't seem to be going away!

I've just had a week of COVID and still not feeling much better... Cough has gone but really really exhausted!

Just gotten over a sore throat and sneezy cold. Work in primary and there’s coughs, sickness bugs and flu going around .Last day tomorrow 🤞🏻

I’ve had similar but not tested. Better now.

We've all had a bug, lack of appetite, headache, sensitive skin, red cheeks, but over in two days. Short and sharp, weird virus.

I woke up yesterday morning with a sore throat and was fully blown ill by bedtime/this morning. I am feeling better this evening, so just hoping that's the worst of it over with quickly!

Yep! I'm feeling absolutely rotten 😢😭 still had a few more bits needed to get for xmas so I'm just praying it goes by the weekend so I can pop out quick. Keeping dosed up on Paracetamol and ibru every 4 hours. got some night nurse too but ugh I feel so achy all over.

Had it last week Op, what helped me was Lemon juice, hot water and honey, soluble Vit C, Strepsils, co-codomol and early nights. My granny’s tip was Vicks vapour rub on soles of feet with socks on overnight, and she was right, bless her, it works. Hope you feel better soon.
