Finally had a tooth removed earlier today that had been troublesome for months now and have been back and forth to the dentist (they wouldn't do root canal because I'm pregnant so kept flushing it out/giving me antibiotics), toothache massively flared up again on Friday which was complete and utter agony all weekend and the pain had spread to other teeth next to it and jaw was incredibly painful too. There was/is an abscess right next to where the tooth was. I've been to emergency dentist earlier who removed the troublesome tooth.
Now that the numbness is starting to wear off I'm absolutely horrified/panicked to find the pain exactly the same and toothache still there coming from the tooth next to the one that has been the issue all along. I assumed it was referred pain and would disappear once other tooth was removed. Jaw is still incredibly painful same as before but now I am back to not being numb there is absolutely no difference pain wise. Certainly no relief I heard people talk about. Is the other tooth now next to it likely to need to be removed too or is this normal for referred pain to still be there? I expected some pain and discomfort from the actual tooth that was removed but certainly didn't expect it from the other tooth still and was so looking forward to not being in agony anymore ðŸ˜
