Blue Badge parking in Central London

I am disabled and my mobility has got worse in the last 2 years, I have been given a blue badge recently. I am staying at a Premier Inn in Paddington for 3 nights this week, they have no disabled parking themselves. Is it feasible to find a space nearby or am I better to park somewhere on the outskirts with good access and then get the tube in? Any advice very welcome - I am new to this and more than a little anxious. Thanks

I’d contact the relevant council and ask for information on the locations of Blue Badge spaces in the vicinity of where you’re staying. Don’t count on just being able to drive up and find one anywhere as they’re likely to be relatively sparse amid residents’ parking only areas.

If your mobility is poor then I’d imagine you’ll struggle with the tube: many older stations have no level or lift access and walking between lines can sometimes be a fair distance.

@ComtesseDeSpair yes this is exactly my worry. I do have one a list of all the spaces in the area - there are 7 at Paddington station but I have no idea if they are time limited. Where we live there is a lot of street parking and all can used free by blue badge but I am very concerned about arriving and driving round and round not finding a space. Thanks

Try looking for a space to hire on Just Park. Sussex Gardens and Lancaster terrace car parks are close by if you’re staying at the Paddington Station branch.

It’s a tough area for parking even with a Blue Badge as many people attending appointments at the hospital will also be looking for BB availability.
