Or recognise the language? It's on a walking stick.

To me it looks like Greek, but not someone who writes Greek normally - someone who has copied the characters badly.

BeachRide · 15/12/2024 18:59

Ancient or modern Greek?

Looks like Ancient Greek to me.

According to ChatGPT, it says 'Dave' in Tengwar (which apparently is a JRR Tolkien fictional language)

Really? That's hilarious 🤣

The text on the object in this image appears to be written in Angerthas Moria, a variation of the Dwarvish Runes from Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium, particularly from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. These runes are often associated with the Dwarves and Khuzdul language.

To proceed, I will transcribe the runes visible on the image into the Latin alphabet:

Runes Transcription:
"D W A R V E S"

It translates to "DWARVES" in English. This likely indicates that the object is themed or inspired by Dwarvish culture from Tolkien's works.

My ChatGDP translated it as 'I am Gandalf' 🤷‍♂️

I hope no-one uses ChatGPD as Gospel!

i use ChatGPT as a research base, to begin drawing battle plans so to speak then i progress onto more academic source's / university, security services and military publications etc

i have used it to run the analysis of various security services speeches or information to expand the topics further.

It seems to offer very variable runic translations!
