Yeah, shelf life of most fruit and veg has gone to shit since we left the customs union. Try and inspect when you buy, keep in the fridge

Who only has one satsuma a day?? I buy a bag and eat them at once. I often buy 5 bags at a time.
I’ve found sainsbos last better and a slightly harder skin last longer. Never buy a bag that has even one that is soft as it will soften all the others. Always lift the box to see if there’s a new one underneath as they are generally fresher. Try and go for the bigger satsumas too and never buy Aldi or Lidl. If you have a fresh fruit and veg shop theirs are usually better than anyone else’s.
Lastly never buy them nasty nardivots or shitty clementines or easy peelers. That are liars. On a side note satsumas are generally seedless but I have recently found many have seeds in them. I get the rage.
