Dull and dower

Anyone have any tips/ ideas / suggestions of ways for me to spruce up my appearance in the next 2 weeks?
I look and feel grey and dull.
I'm happy to spend 'some' money, nothing mad.
How can I just have some 'freshness'

Get a vitamin c serum.

Haircut and colour? You could always colour at home if money is tight.

A couple of nice tops.

Some different foundation and a new lippie.

I have been trying to grow out my previous colour and embrace the grey....and I don't think it's helping me

Get a decent haircut. Ask for professional advice and go with their suggestions.

Have a look at the colours of tops you are wearing, and check that they flatter your skin/eye colour

I hear you, OP, but have no advice so am following with interest.

I'm 53 and thought my eyebrow looked odd yesterday. There was a huge, snow white eyebrow hair that had come from nowhere, right across the middle! I was alarmed, I can tell you. So were my tweezers!

Defined everything helps: haircut ( even just a trim), eyebrows shaped and darkened, make-up. Especially blusher and lipstick.
Think about what colours work for you. If you wear black, make sure it's not too faded - you can refresh colour with a machine dye. Beige nd camel which are currenly popular can make many people look
Speak to your hairdresser about colour - if you want to continue growing out the grey, you could get lowlights or highlights to help blend it in. If you decide to keep the grey, you need an edgy cut.

I've booked a hair cut...have a colour consultation booked too....I've dyed by brows and purchased some eye serum

It's a start

I think you're thinking more about appearance, but have a couple of weeks before Christmas of eating better, drinking plenty of fluids (and I don't mean alcohol😅) and getting some extra fresh air/more exercise. It'll help feel a bit more energised.

Treat yourself to something new to wear as well.

Sounds great. I have another recommendation. Book a personal stylist appointment. At John Lewis it's free and there's no minimum spend. You can get loads of advice on what suits your shape and colouring and tips on putting an outfit together.

Other advice Dermalogica products. They do a great tinted moisturiser which would brighten up your skin and they have other products you might find useful. You can chat to a consultant on their website.

Get a new haircut!
Trimming your hair—even just a quick snip to clean up the ends—can make a huge difference and give you a refreshed, more polished look. You don’t have to go drastic, but changing things up a bit, like getting a style that suits your face shape or adding some layers, can give you a fresh and vibrant vibe.Trimming your hair—even just a quick snip to clean up the ends—can make a huge difference and give you a refreshed, more polished look.
