Compact food processor or stick blender with bowl

My Bosch Multitalent is giving up - it's been good but where the bowl connects to the main motor section seems to be a bit of a weakness and it now doesn't fit properly, so it only works about 50% of the time 🙄

It's smaller than my old Magimix (footprint-wise) but still a good size - I think the bowl is 2.3L. Realistically though I mainly use it for hummus, whipped feta, pesto, and breadcrumbs so wondering whether I even need a full-size food processor. The other thing I use it for is blending soup, but I think there are stick blenders that come with a bowl that could work? Any recommendations gratefully received! Thanks

Get a Bamix

It's not the cheapest option but they are strongly made and last for ages. There is a wide range of attachments you can buy to tailor it for your needs.

bamix® - The Kitchen Robot

Swiss made hand held food processors. Versatile, powerful, light and easy to clean. The trusted authority in immersion blenders since 1954.

I am a bit like u and use stick blender most in just a Pyrex bowl. I also have an electric whisk for whipped cream for eg tiramisu. My old one had both, the whisk and blender attachments on one hand held gadget (sob).

I don't bake much as try to avoid sugar.

I blend the soup in the actual pot.

I agree with the Bamix recommendation. I love mine and it is one of the pieces of kitchen equipment that I use most often.

Could it be just the bowl that needs replacing? Plastic tends to fail over time, especially if washed in a dishwasher or with very hot water. We had a Cuisinart that lasted 25 years and changed the bowl 3x and the lid twice.

We now have a mini food processor which takes up very little room. If we need to chop a lot of veggies then it has to be emptied once or twice, but otherwise it does all the basics. When we make soup, DP decants it into a blending jug but I prefer a stick blender (less soup lost during transfers and less washing up!). The stick is a Philips, nothing special but it gets the job done.

My food processor is in a cupboard somewhere. I have 2 gadgets that do most things I need - a hand-held Kenwood whisk very occasionally, but mainly a Tesco-own stick blender with a few bits. As well as a brilliant blender it has a small but effective whisk and a jug and then a mini chopper (perfect for breadcrumbs, cheese, herbs etc). You attach the motorised stick to any of the 3 gadgets and all are brilliant and rinse easily under the tap.

I have a dead cheap stick blender that I use for soups and hummus and curry pastes. I'm sort of hoping it dies soon (showing no signs after seven years!) and then I'll get a Braun Multiquick or something similar that also has a whisk and chopper attachment.
