I live in Borders.
Need to collect a computer tower by train from Newcastle (I have no car).
I REALLY want to try to get this for my disabled son who has been very ill.
It's FB marketplace & sellers are nice but won't deliver (fair enough!)
I've checked size of my biggest suitcase (not big enough).
Can anyone recommend a large strong trolley that I could fold up on train.
(thinking I could wrap in bubble, black bin liner, bungee straps & put on trolley?

Can you get it couriered? Would be a whole lot easier.

If you say where exactly from and too and if between Christmas and new year works you could pm me?

Thats so kind of you @kelsaycobbles

I reckon I can get part way (maybe Morpeth or Ponteland) but it's the last bit I can't manage to drive.

pressed too soon.
...being as I'm both disabled myself (so limit to how far I can drive in a round trip) and also as I can cope with quiet country roads but not city roads. Not at ALL.

Could you park up at a metro station on the edge of the city and collect it that way?

I have this. Plenty sturdy enough for a 20kg computer, but definitely you'll need decent padding under it on the trolley as well as around it unless you find one with pneumatic tyres.

20kg isn't that heavy - it may be cheaper to arrange a courier rather than spend the time on travel plus taxi and the train tickets costs.

A quick look on Parcel Force suggests around £20 for them to pick up and deliver in the UK for that weight and size. Check the insurance value covers it!
