Good Morning Everyone! What's everyone up to today?

I'm only just sitting down with my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, of course! The kittens have had breakfast & are both upstairs somewhere. It's quiet so I'm guessing they've gone back to sleep.

Our plan for today is much the same as yesterday's changed plans. Some festive baking, put the last few decorations up in the kitchen, homework for the girls, and a couple of work related bits for me. Someone needs to go to the shop too for various things 🙄 probably me although I'd rather potter round here & take it easy on my sore foot.

First though it's cuppa & Christmas Chronicles for me with girl kitten who's joined me 😊

Later on I'll make the second side to my thread crochet church...it might be done by Christmas 🤔

We're having roast chicken for tea, with roast spuds, veg, and yorkshires 😋 I might even defrost some of the cranberry sauce to go with it!

Tonight will be my usual self-care-Sunday scrubby everything shower followed by an hour with my book & an early night ready for work tomorrow 💤

What about all of you? 🎄

Afternoon all, had nothing on this morning as all football was cancelled, so had a lovely lazy morning with tea and toast on the sofa with the dog. DS2 had a basketball tournament this afternoon which we all went to, then had a very late lunch and popped into Tesco for a few bits. The weather has been vile here, howling wind and constant cold rain, so I'm glad to be home for the night now.

Now chilling under my blanket with the dog and a cup of tea, DSs are gaming, DH is watching the football. Crumpets for tea, an early night for DSs and the I'm a celeb final tonight. I might wrap some presents if I have time. It will be a busy week at work next week so I need to steel myself for that too.

Hello @lucysmam , I'm a bit late today. I had a lovely lie in until 8.30, then up to feed the cat and get poorly DH his breakfast. Then I breakfasted and took my usual bucketful of pills, did some laundry and added to the Christmas grocery shopping lists. I've ordered from 2 supermarkets, a couple of days apart, with exactly the same things on the lists. The idea is that anything g that doesn't come in the first delivery will be left on the order for the second delivery, with some salad stuff etc., and anything that is delivered can come off the list for the second delivery.

We had the chicken and vegetable soup I made yesterday for lunch - and then I picked up my daughter so that we could watch the Cathedral's performance of The Messiah this afternoon. My grandson was singing. It was beautiful, very uplifting, and I was so proud of him! And all the other choristers of course. The Cathedral was FREEZING! I had dressed warmly as it is always cold in there, with a long sleeved top and leggings under my dress, then a long cardigan and a long coat, but that really wasn't enough.

We got home about 45 minutes ago and had something to eat - I have just about thawed out, and I'm going to have a hot bath and go to bed quite shortly.

Very late to the party & wondering where the day has gone! Had a lazy start & didn’t get up until about 11. Cleaned the kitchen & prepared the veg for tea, although I’ve decided to do something different tonight as I’m struggling with Vit B12 deficiency symptoms. Probably just have cheese on toast or soup. Popped to Tescos which wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be & got a few bits from Asda, including a Lindt mini chocolate sleigh which I’m going to put on the Christmas Day table. Had a bit of staff training to do online - nearly lost the will to live! Now watching the new Tim Burton animation “ That Christmas “ which is brilliant so far.

P .S Apparently it’s not Tim Burton
