In on my own tonight, DH working away, DS out with his friends and DD away at Uni.

Had a lovely afternoon having coffee with a couple of friends. How on the sofa with a glass of wine, my old chocolate lab, watching Strictly, blanket over us both. Nice and toastie.

We don't have loads of spare cash, we're 'OK' I suppose, but I am feeling very content with the world right now and it's made me realise that I need to not whinge about not having enough of this or that and be grateful for what I do have.

What are you up to tonight?

Flowersfantastic news for you

Thank you! It’s a wonderful early Christmas present

BitOutOfPractice · 07/12/2024 20:32

Op sounds great.

We have been to the pub. Now DP is cooking and im Lounging (I’ve had a much busier day than him!) so we can watch last night’s telly with a drink and dinner. We were both out separately last night so a sofa evening is in order.

Enjoy your evening @TitaniasAss i think a bit of reflection and gratitude is a lovely way to go.

I'm currently putting my 5 yo to sleep, 8&9 yo will go up straight after her as they were up til midnight watching the Toy Show last night (Ireland)

Dh gone to meet some friends. I've pizza and a half bottle of wine waiting for me when I go down. Heaven.

Glad to be wrapped up, cosy and warm, away from the storm here the past couple of nights. Definitely feeling very grateful for a warm home, healthy family and feeling safe.

Lying on the sofa watching crap on the telly and eating most of my chocolate advent calendar Grin I’m having a lazy and indulgent celebration as officially cancer free this week.

❤️

Started wrapping presents - there's a lot to do and will take several sessions.

It's lovely that so many are having lovely cosy days/evenings. 😊

Fabulous news, unless you been there you don't get the huge weight off your shoulders. Enjoy it, I drank a bottle of wine and enjoyed the best hangover ever x

I've been to a brass band carol concert in a cave. It was lovely but very cold and damp.

MsXmasGGMasterTwat · 08/12/2024 07:34

I think I might know the one you mean @Ruslandgirl, a few of my family members were going to one last night. Unless they’re more common than you think.

Hope we all had a lovely evening.

My first experience of supermarket lobster gets a thumbs down. Not a patch on any experience I’ve had in a restaurant. I won’t be buying it again.

Ocado was here at 6:45, early. Poor lad delivering said that the roads were full of trees, tree limbs and all sorts of stuff.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

We had a lovely family lunch, DS1 came over with DIL and our GD and our other kids were here too with partners, everyone swam after lunch as it is stinking hot here (Aus) and the Oreo cheesecake I made for dessert was yummy. DH, DD and I are having leftover chicken sandwiches with a nice bottle of wine now and we are going to watch Home Alone,
