Im breastfeeding a 10 month old and im wondering if it would be of any harm to start taking them now? it says to talk to a doctor before, but being able to speak to a doctor this days is basically impossible. Has anyone took them while breastfeeding? And overall are they any good? my hair is falling out so bad😩, and my skin never been so bad. i'm putting all my hopes on this ones, but im just scared to take them, and if breastfeeding they would affect the baby.
Anyone seen improvement?
Thank you

If your hair is falling out then you might need a blood test to determine if you are low in iron or other vitamins, or something completelydifferent like thyroid. Please make a GP appointment before taking these as some vitamins in a higher dose can harm children and babies.

I took Perfectil when my hair started falling out. Turned out I had a Frontal fibrosing alopecia. And the vitamins didn't help at all but trying them delayed me going to seek medical advice at an earlier stage when treatment might have actually been effective.
I'm positive you haven't got what I have btw - I was much older for a start and hadn't just been through child birth and wasn't breastfeeding. But I think pp's advice to go to your GP and get tests done is spot on. Don't waste your time trying to sort things out with these vitamins. Much better to get medical advice

My GP said taking this sort of stuff is just making expensive pee. Better to just supplement what you are lacking, so I would book a blood test and find out.

What’s actually in it? Your hair falling out postnatally is actually very normal and doesn’t mean you need a vitamin. You probably look and feel like shit because you’re tired and you need exercise and time to take care of yourself. But it’s worth getting your vitamin levels checked. Then if you have a deficiency you can actually rectify it, instead of guessing and taking something random, which may not even contain what you’re deficient in. I developed a vitamin D deficiency after I had my 2nd, which needed proper supplementation at levels you can’t get in standard vitamins from Boots. So very worth checking.
