Putting this in chat for traffic and because it might be useful to others...
Can anyone tell me what might happen with my flights tomorrow given that;
- Connecting flight from regional airport (Newcastle) to LHR then on to USA.
- Wind forecast gusts of 66mph, steady 30mph from the north at flight time (midday)
- Runway is E-W
There are earlier regional flights into LHR before the storm is forecast to hit, is there any chance I could get moved onto one of those in advance or do I have to wait for what I expect is the inevitable cancellation of my flight?
If the regional flight is cancelled what will happen?
Is there anything i can do, or do I just have to wait and see how it plays out? This is work travel and it's more faff to make changes than if it was up to me.
Thanks for any wise words.
