Keeping warm at football match

Off to a big football match in February it’s a late night match so will be very cold. I’ve never been before but husband has managed to get tickets for his team and I’ve always wanted to tick it off my bucket list. What should I wear to keep warm? I was thinking thermal base layers long sleeve top roll neck jumper then gym leggings on top with big sleeping bag style long coat Ugg boots thermal socks gloves scarf hat and Electric hand warmers I’m a very cold person and worried I’ll be cold and not enjoy myself.

Get a bumbag hot water bottle

two pairs of socks and thick sole footwear

hat & scarf

warm coat and two layers under

tights and trousers

And then when you think you've got enough layers, add another one.

It's not an Arctic expedition! You'll be wedged in between other people, so while I'd go tights and trousers, jumper, winter coat and hat, that should be fine.

Heated gilet, hot cup of bobtail and multiple pairs of socks

Buy cashmere socks, nothing warmer. I have some I did actually see some in TK Maxx for a tenner last week.

I remember walking through the snow to a friends house once. It has become known as the onion walk as I had so many layers on about six I think.

It will be warmer than you think and you can always jump about and scream to warm up. If you are worried some of the disposal period pain relief pads that heat up

I've never appreciated fat men taking up more than their fair share of room more than at winter football matches. They come in handy then.

https://amzn.eu/d/6ETBAcv. I use these. They work fairly well. Just leave them out in the open air for a few mins before using them so they fully warm up. Be careful taking your own drinks
Some grounds will confiscate on entry. (Unless you can hide it under your coat.) 😉i can recommend lemon and ginger tea with a good slug of scotch. Have fun!

This.

Sitting on a seat in a stadium is a LOT warmer than standing in the park.

You are going over the top here, and that comes from someone who feels the cold, and watches quite a lot of football from different viewpoints.

We are a rugby family so spend all season on the side of the pitch watching our son or going to premiership games. If you have one or can borrow one dry robes are your life saver. Then under that layers so top, jumper and gilet on top. On my bottom I prefer Teddy lined leggings from primark to jeans and I then put a warm short skirt on as extra layer between you and the seat. Then on my feet I have furry lined boots with shooting socks on my feet. A wooly hat is an absolute must plus a large scarf and for your hands heated gloves which you attach to a phone charger block. I also take a little fleece blanket with me can either put over my knees or as an extra layer to sit on. Then make sure you have a beer or two and which really helps😂

Thanks I’m constantly frozen so much so I wear thermals every day In winter and my house is always set to toasty and I often need my heated blanket to warm me up.
