Partner having serious flare.
He has the emoluments and the steroid creams.
I wash his clothes separately in hot water only. Nightly cool baths with oat stuff.
He feels the cold and I've just realised that he's wearing cheap synthetic thermals , leggings and long sleeved tops, under his clothes
Should I replace with silk, bamboo, what ??

I've had the pajamas from that company - they weren't cheap, but they lasted about fifteen years before getting so thin they fell apart! So well worth every penny, if you think about how often you wear thermals.

Merino may be worth a look - but some of it can be scratchy, so worth looking in person to see what you think. I have Rapha (the Waitrose of cycling clothing) merino thermals and they are soft as a baby's bum and last and last. But I've never really had eczema on my torso that bad, so not sure how merino would be on eczema. Whenever my eczema was that bad, it was because it had got infected and fucibet cream was the only thing to sort it. But (touch wood) I haven't had a bout of eczema for years now, goodness knows why.

That's interesting , there are one or two pimples with obvious heads , would that mean all of it is infected I wonder.
He's recently been seen for a review and infection wasn't mentioned.

I usually found the GPs were hopeless and uninterested! It wouldn't be at all surprising to me if it is infected (even if only slightly) and they didn't mention it. But who knows - eczema in adults is clearly a funny old thing.

Other things that helped me were keeping my nails so short that it looks like I bite them (I cut my nails twice a week) and cutting wheat and mushrooms out of my diet although I can tolerate some of both now. Oddly, I think pregnancy really helped - sorry, that's no use to your husband! But using fucibet to not let it get out of control and keeping my nails short were the main things for me, although my eczema wasn't ever as bad as it sounds like your husband's is. You both have my sympathy - eczema is a horrid horrid thing to live with as an adult and it sounds like your husband is really suffering.

i have not used that site so cant recommend but sometimes a sensitivity can make eczema worst .In our family its scented products so i make sure laundry detergent does not have any scented stuff added to it or fabric soft nor so like fairy bio or daz

I find dove bar soap is good and generally for clothes i go hunting everywhere for 100% cotton clothes rip
