Hi all, my LB has been teething, you can see the teeth right underneath the gums. Today he’s been SCREAMING with them though. Is this normal? I know it’s his teeth by the symptoms

My first DS cut his two bottom teeth two days before turning 3 months, so early teething is definitely a thing for some babies. Unfortunately bonjela baby teething gel (which is great!) only is recommended for 6+ months so calpol or suppositories are usually the only option. I didn't realize my son was teething because of his age, so I thought I just had a demon baby who wouldn't settle for me, he was so so fussy with them. 🙈The guilt when I saw the teeth poking through!!

Because they can't hold a teether to gnaw at this age, running your finger on their gums can help a little bit. Or if they take a Dodie, this helps if pushed gently on the gum.

Otherwise it's just waiting to get through it I'm afraid. Hope his teeth cut quickly for you!

Ashton and Parson's teething powder. Like cocaine for babies. Miracle stuff.

I had an early teether and yes Ashton powders godsend. Also if you need to give pain relief ibuprofen we found more effective than paracetamol for teething.

Ashton and parsons powders and a matchstick monkey teether saved me at this age. the monkey has little arms they can grip with both hands so I found it a lot better than other teethers. dd also loved to chew on a cold flannel, I would run it under water, wring it out and stick it in the freezer for a bit before giving it to her.

Both of mine got their first teeth at 6 weeks. It’s quite normal for some babies.

DS had 6 teeth by six months. I stopped breastfeeding not long after that ...

Good point about the breastfeeding. If you are breast feeding, you may want to adjust positions. I alternated between normal cross body to rugby ball position which very much helped.

Yes normal. Poor sausage!
