I've had some hideous bug.As a v fit healthy person I don't think I've ever had flu.
I tested and it was negative for COVID which I've had twice.
My colleague got the sore throat which I didn't.
I've been shivering,night sweats achy,iffy tum.
Watering eyes and zero energy.A bit sniffly.

The vomiting bug is a strain of noro called the Kawasaki strain. According to a nationwide press release 3 weeks ago.

It seems to last much longer than usual

  • huge sympathies to anyone who has it or a mega flu/ viral thing at the moment.

Im dreading it - send school and so many staff off sick right now! Bound to be my turn in 2 weeks....

Started at beginning of December and was bed bound for 2 weeks - felt I was just trying to stay alive. Lungs hurt, coughing all the time, fever, fast heart rate. Couldn’t get comfortable and thought my lungs would stop working at one point. Nearly collapsed at the GP surgery and was in tears and she prescribed antibiotics, inhalers, steroids which did nothing ( which makes me think it was a viral flu) Finally emerged from bed 2 weeks ago and still very weak and tired, brain fog. Even though the worst symptoms have gone I’ve still got inflammation - so cough and watery nose . Never been so unwell in my life and now understand why people die from flu. I did covid tests but they were negative. I didn’t get the flu jab but my husband and daughter did and they’ve avoided it. I will get it every year from now on. I’m 56 and think my body can’t fight things off like it used to
