Would you go to the dentist if you had no pain?

I had a filling done at my old dentist( in August but I still couldn't chew on it properly and it would tingle
They went private and couldn't afford to go back.
I found a NHS dentist (my some miracle ) explained and they said they think it wasn't a proper filling and it was just a temp-so they are going to re do the filling but said if I still have issues I will need a root canal.
I'm booked In tomorrow but I'm tempted to put it off till after Xmas.
I'm in no pain but it does tingle a lot and uncomfortable to eat on.
Would you just go for the filling tomorrow?
Or wait
It's about a 45 min drive away as no nhs dentists near me so a bit of a carry on
At the min I'm entitled to free treatment so I know I'm lucky in that aspect and don't want to take the mick.

I would go. If you leave it you may end up in pain and unable to get another appointment.

Yeah part of me thinks go
Sometimes I get a sharp pain it but not actual aching
I just hate the dentist
They want to do a clean too which I hate

I would go, if it actually gets to be painful over christmas you could regret not going.

Get it done. You really don’t want to wait until toothache drives you mad.
