Ah that's lovely @SoMuchToBits 🌟
We are beyond primary school nativities now, so happy memories of those days.
Thank you for today's lovely scenes!

Just stumbled across this thread, I love it 😄 I wonder if my 2 year old is too young for the advent calendar, maybe next year...? Thank you though this is a lot of fun!

petalpower · 10/12/2024 09:28

Well done to all the children taking part! It’s really Christmas when there’s a nativity play.

Clabony · 10/12/2024 11:49

I really enjoyed showing the pictures of the Nativity and reading the story line to a little one I am minding today. And we talked about each picture and everyone in it. The sheep seem to have won the day!😀

ChessieFL · 10/12/2024 12:53

Love the nativity! My DD is at secondary now but even at primary they never did a traditional nativity so I’ve missed out on all that! I enjoyed this one.

SoMuchToBits · 10/12/2024 14:46

Thank you all! My ds's school never did a completely traditional nativity either. In year 2 they did "Whoopsadaisy Angel" but he opted to play the chime bars instead of going for a speaking role. Maybe I should have realised then he was going to end up playing percussion (as a hobby)!

Wasn't he a cutie! So sweet.
We have had an angel, a star and a shepherd at various times. Fond memories of ds wearing his stripy dressing gown and draping a tea towel around his head as a shepherd. He nearly overheated though in all the excitement. Another time there was a bug doing the rounds and it knocked out some of the cast. Some improvisation was required!
Good times!

SoMuchToBits · 10/12/2024 15:08

Thank you! That reminds me that ds ended up having to play the chime bars not only in his own class's play but in the other class in his year's play as well, as the girl playing them in that class was off sick!

Christmastime chaos @SoMuchToBits 😄😄

AMomentOfTruth · 10/12/2024 17:37

Just loving this so much! My son, now 31, was, oddly, Xmas Smile in the infants nativity play. I remember making his beard from polyester wadding.

LIZS · 10/12/2024 18:38

Aww all very Christmassy, well done Eastgate Primary!

PlumpHobbit · 10/12/2024 19:12

Oh fabulous a nativity 😍 very brave of them to use live animals when small children are already unpredictable enough!

SoMuchToBits · 10/12/2024 22:14

Thank you all for the lovely comments! Xmas Smile
