There's good ones along the northern coast by Newcastle/Edinburgh/Liverpool, but you're not getting the climate that you would on the south coast (let alone abroad).

That's why the likes of Brighton and Bournemouth get swamped.

I beg to differ. I live in Newcastle and it's tropical climate is lovely. No one ever wears a coat 😁

I liked Exeter a lot and Topsham was lovely but I was suprised at rest of coastal places as seemed a bit grim and down at heel to me - as I said previously I actually preferred Weymouth - and that's not amazing- and def preferred Lyme Regis - but sadly no city near it!!
