Del garda you paid extra for linens and towels but the accommodation just needed to be left reasonable as they clean it

hellohellooo · 28/11/2024 18:20

Amazing thank you

And some restaurants on site?

Bella Italia is great and you can walk down to the lake and into Pescheria. I would also look at if there are cheaper mobile homes available owned by the campsite. We always found booking accomodation direct with the campsites much cheaper and with better deals/mobile homes.

Another one praising Bella Italia, we've stayed there 3 times now, it gets busy in July / August but if you're looking outside those times then it's reasonably peaceful (for a big site). Supermarket on site sells everything you need as reasonable prices; small camp shop also has holiday basics in case you forget anything. On-site restaurants and takeaways are good value too, and food is nice. It's an easy walk into Peschiera where you can get either the ferry or train (Verona, Venice, Milan) depending on where you want to travel to. Buses go from outside the camp main entrance but times seem a bit erratic. We usually drive there as ds is in a wheelchair and it's just easier all round.

The lake views are amazing, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

And some restaurants on site?

There's one restaurant on site and a couple of kiosk type places for lunch. But the lake places were so close we mainly walked there. No lake views but lovely site itself and if you book direct with the campsite the bungalows were great value

The eurocamp cabins are my least favourite, very pokey. I would book Roan if they have cabins available

Bloody love a Eurocamp holiday!!

We go most years and have stayed at camping del Garda and Bella Italia near Garda and Marina di Venezia. All are amazing but it depends on the time of year and ages of dc- in high summer they can be ridiculously busy and your accommodation a long walk from the centre. Camping del Garda is our absolute favourite.
We usually hire linen and towels and go for the biggest accommodation we can afford. Lots of other little tips like citronella candles, outdoor fairy lights for the evening etc etc!

Del Garda was amazing, I had a 5 year old and they loved the kids club, that was about 5 years ago. Staff were brilliant, I couldn't fault them. He went everyday and we had a break and he was involved in a musical show, it was really good for his confidence.

We felt belle Italia was too big for our older boy then 10 as we would spend all day looking for him, whereas the smaller campsite it was easier to find him. If i was to go with older kids or teens I'd go for Belle Italia, it looked fab. I loved Peschiera town, would love to return.

Hello all

We have booked marina di venezia

Problem is we fly into Venice airport at 8pm
How will we get to the camp?

Looked at private taxis and they have quoted me 180 euros

Any tips for this camp would be most appreciated

Going next sept 2025

Can't wait

THat sounds about right for transfer. We booked a taxi one way and then asked reception to call a taxi for us on the way back- it was 95euro
