Weird bubble on face

Anyone able to tell me what's going on here?

I've got a bubble near my eye - Google just tells me watery blister which isn't quite right I don't think as it comes back!!

I've popped it before and it's watery but it only subsides for a week or so and comes back small and grows to this size.

Anyone know what it is? And how to get rid of it??

Anyway if you google it you will see images a bit like that

MineMineMineMineMine · 25/11/2024 13:06

I don't think it is as it isn't red and it's full of water rather than moley so could be sort of popped.

I wonder if I should show the pharmacist. I thought maybe it was an obvious thing people knew about!

I think I have milia which are new on my face across my cheeks but this is a bit different.

I would get a professional opinion

MineMineMineMineMine · 25/11/2024 19:16

I'll go ask a pharmacist tomorrow. I was expecting to be told it was some sort of cosmetic thing and that mumsnetters knew about it!

I only found out about various kids things "everyone knows about" from mn!

You can get a mucocele in your mouth which is exactly like this, but of course this isn't in your mouth so is there a skin equivalent?

MineMineMineMineMine · 25/11/2024 21:39

Hmm it does look like that. Google isn't helping me!

No, it's not that.

CoffeeAndPeanuts · 25/11/2024 21:42

I think being so close to your eye, you should get it checked out. I don't imagine it's anything to worry about though.

MissRumphius · 25/11/2024 21:52

Is it a thing called a eccrine hidrocystoma?

Sofaroller · 25/11/2024 21:57

Get it checked out. I had a weird bubble thing on my face. Bled when I scratched it rather than watery. Was a small skin cancer. You'll only know once you've had it looked at

Scentedjasmin · 25/11/2024 22:06

I just looks like a blood blister to me. If you squeeze or pop it, it can come back, whereas if you leave it it should disappear after a few days or weeks. I would show it a pharmacist anyway, just to double check.

dementedpixie · 25/11/2024 22:15

Also think it could be a hidrocystoma if it's fluid filled

MineMineMineMineMine · 25/11/2024 22:33

Yes from Google that would make sense. I do get a sort of heat rash/milia as I overheat easily and one thing said it could be linked. It's come and gone over 2 months though. I thought I could just pop it again...

Can a nurse practicioner tell or does it need to be a gp?

I hadn't actually thought it could be a skin cancer...

A nurse practitioner might know. They'll know if it is concering enough to pass on to a GP. You could ask the receptionnist who they think it would be most appropriate to see.
