Field trip ID?

So, my 3.5 year old will be going to see a panto with the school he is attending. We've given our consent as my husband and I think that this will be a great experience for him. However, I'm wondering if I should leave some sort of ID on him/his belongings in case he strays away from his teacher/group. I'm sure the teachers will do their best in keeping an eye on him but my son does tend to get distracted and has a tendency to wonder off when he sees something that catches his eye. I have brought this up with the school and they said that they will ensure that he will be with a buddy the whole time. So, should I bother with an ID? Like something sewn on his clothes? He doesn't like wristbands and anything around his neck. Thought I'd ask.

If it makes you more comfortable, do it. It certainly isn't going to cause any harm at all.

your phone number and the details of the nursery on a piece of paper is a reasonable measure. although the chances of him get separated and not quickly reunited are very small its a very low effort thing that would be very useful in a worst case scenario.

DDs school used to give them a small laminated card with the school details on that they put into their shoes with the instructions to hand it to a adult if they got lost.

If going somewhere very busy where it would be easy to be separated like a music festival or on the tube, I used to Sharpie my phone number on her forearm.

Going to a panto is very low risk, they'll get off the coach, walk into the theatre, sit down and then reverse it back onto the coach. There won't be time to get lost. They will probably wear HiVis vests when moving around too with the school details on

Years ago when our boys were little (18 and 23 now), at Legoland the each had a sticker they wore, which if I remember correctly had their name and a phone number on it.

Struck me as a good idea.

When our daughters went on trips with their nursery at that age, they all have stickers on with the name and phone number of the nursery on them. I was a parent helper on the trip and the staff were constantly counting and recounting the group of children.
