Need inspiration please.
seems like blue or green in every room of my house, but I have no vision.
Total blank canvas, SW facing. Any budding interior designers want to hit me with ideas?

Mine in turquoise and I hate it so I'm following for inspiration

F&B Oval Room Blue. It's a black toned blue so can be very dark in the wrong room but our bedroom has a huge window so it's ok. Mostly dark wood furniture, cream headboard.

The inside of an avocado green, with dark green velvet lamps and curtains. Oak bed. White door/skirts/window

My DD room is lilac. My old room was white with turquoise accents.

Ours is a blush pink and pale sage green. We have two boys so I wanted our bedroom to be girly.
The main colours come from a Laura Ashley wallpaper that I fell in love with and managed to find on sale. It’s not everyone’s taste but I wanted a romantic fairy tale type of feel and I love it (and dh tolerates it! lol)
Everything else is fairly non-fussy and simple.

Hey @Yayforyou ,

We had a similar brief to you, i.e. we wanted a colour that was 'clean but warm', we chose Little Greene's, Julie's Dream. It's stunning. www.littlegreene.com/julie-s-dream

To help with whittling down choices we bought 12x A4 foam board, painted each board in our preferred colours and lived with those foam boards up on walls in the same room, for example 3x board in one colour, 3x in another colour, and watched how the light hit those walls/ boards through the day, probably left them up for 3 or 4 days - it was a useful experiment.

Two walls are a very dark charcoal. The ceiling and the wall that slopes down from it are a soft winter white, and one wall is fitted wardrobes painted slightly browny pink.

Mine is a deep blue from farrow and ball, the kids room is drenched in a dark olive. Both seem calm but also bright colours pop against it. Do need decent lighting though both are pretty gloomy. But wonderful in the evenings

Ginkypig · 23/11/2024 18:58

Same colour as when I moved in 😳

it’s a sort of light purple/pink colour.

its not very nice if I’m honest but it’s the only room I can’t be arsed to decorate yet. All the others have been done.

NotHooray · 23/11/2024 19:28

Military magnolia (absolutely not my choice - if I could pick i would like white and a darker blue or green)

Noodlesnotstrudels · 23/11/2024 19:30

F&B Skimming Stone. Neutral enough that i can switch up accessories for a change if wanted.

Yayforyou · 23/11/2024 22:19

@LochNessy that wallpaper is beautiful!

@RobinEllacotStrike we have peignoir in our bedroom too, it's the most beautiful and elegant colour I think. Our room faces north and it's quite a warm neutral. Also looks amazing with pops of red or green.
