Large adult fox in my garden, is there any danger it;ll get through the cat flap?

A couple of times this week either one of our cats has got agitated or the garden lights have come on.

Standing right at the French Doors is an adult fox as bold as.
The cats have a microchip activated door set into the glass panel .

I scared off the fox by clanging two metal plates together . I don;t want to encourage it but I don;t wish it any harm.
Just for it to Stay Away .
There's no food or bins out there and no hutched pets .

Is there a risk of it getting in? The cat door protects mine against other cats but this is a big fox (I;m hoping too big to even think about trying )

No photo BTW , I just wanted him/her gone !

Imagine chasing a fucking squirrel round the house

I had a frog jump through the cat flap once, it just sat there croaking in the middle of my kitchen 😬

We have had many squirrels come in through our back door in the summer if I leave it open. They usually wet themselves when they spot a human and it absolutely stinks!

I working be absolutely thrilled to see a fox! I picture myself buying chicken legs to throw out for them & then picturing their return. I love foxes!& badgers. All wildlife really.

I’m still seething about my NDN knocking on yesterday telling my not to feed the robins incase it attracts rats😭

If it’s a microchip cat flap, it cannot get in. I live in the same area. One walked into the house last week at about 5pm! I left the front door opening while brining my bike in the house!

Had a fox cub walk through the open door into our kitchen.
I had my back to the door and it was sneaking past me to go through to the lounge but I saw it out of the corner of my eye thinking it was a cat. I didn't move or shout but when it saw me looking at it, it hesitated and ran out. Lovely little chap.

We backed onto open countryside and they were often in our (rather long) garden.
At night I would go down the garden with a torch looking for our old Ddog and could often see several pairs of eyes shining back from the bushes.

My cousin lives in Central London with 3 cats. She also has 3 foxes that visit every day (in day time). Both the cats and foxes get on well and yesterday she sent me a photo of one of the foxes curled up on her patio bench next to the cat!
