Would your 11 year old girl like a sticker book?

I have no idea what 11 year old girls like! I have twin nieces who live in Australia, my mum is going out for Christmas and I'd like to get them something that's not big and heavy for my mum to pack so I came up with sticker books! They love horses and are having riding lessons so I thought that might be a good way to go, but are they too babyish for an 11 year old?? For what it's worth they've only just turned 11 and aren't 'grown up'. Any advice gratefully received!

My niece is 11 and she definitely wouldn't ask for a sticker book. She'd probably have a go of her younger sisters but to get one of her own I think she'd find it a bit babyish. The things she's into probably aren't easy for your mum to pack.

My 9 year old not very grown up girl has way outgrown sticker books I'm afraid. Maybe some actual books? I'd imagine there are lots of horse related books for that age group that would be nice.

Unfortunately 11 year olds now are into skincare branded and fashion!!

Anything on Tiktok shop!!!

Travel sized puzzles go down well. There is a great one that’s made up of small balls joined together and you have to arrange into shapes. It’s much better than I’m making it sound! It light too.

TickingAlongNicely · 20/11/2024 12:12

Mine wouldn't.

They do like stuff like sketchbooks and decent pencils, calligraphy sets, watercolour pens etc though

Georgie743 · 20/11/2024 12:20

Definitely not a sticker book. My DD is 9 and hasn't used one for several years. Other small lightweight things could be English sweets (eg Percy Pigs). Some English teen magazines? Australia is terrible at magazines. Mini skincare / make up?

repeater · 20/11/2024 12:26

Thanks all. Definitely not sticker books then 😂 I like the idea of getting them some English bits.

How would an 11 year old know what's on Tik Tok shop?

yukikata · 20/11/2024 12:37

Sticker books are more for around 3-7 year olds.

11 is way too old.

mamabluestar · 20/11/2024 12:40

My daughter used to love the mosaic sticker books at that age.

Mine are 9 and 12 and they do like the Top Model colouring/sticker books (more colouring). But all others have been ditched.

Maybe a learn to draw horses book?

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 20/11/2024 12:53

No to the sticker book.
Yes to a sketch book and decent pencils / pens - from an art shop.

ConflictofInterest · 20/11/2024 12:57

Not sticker books but my 12 year old loves the packs of vinyl stickers you can get on Amazon, you can get a big range of different styles, animals, butterflies, general uplifting designs, film themes, and they're waterproof so they can go on bikes, skateboards, furniture etc.

Lincoln24 · 20/11/2024 13:01

I'd send fun stationery for that age.

Yes my DD is 14 and loves these

IggyAce · 20/11/2024 13:03

Definitely not a sticker book think my dd stopped those at around 7.
Magazine is a good idea there is Girl Talk, Girl and Top of the Pops that might appeal. Percy pigs and freeze dried candy (home bargains) also perhaps a Next Perfume Just Pink is a good one for that age group.

AutumnLeaves24 · 20/11/2024 13:03

Depends how much you want to spend, but helmet covers are popular & very light weight. Riding gloves.

InTheRainOnATrain · 20/11/2024 13:04

She might like Top Model. My nieces are 13 and will pretend they’re too old for it but then love doing it with DD7, to the point where they’re still sat there doing it by themselves long after she’s lost interest 🤣

Singleandproud · 20/11/2024 13:11

I'd get a colouring book aimed at adults but horse themed so more intricate than children's ones and a nice set of pencils or pens if you want something for them to open.

DD likes stickers from Etsy she can use on her laptop.

FionnulaTheCooler · 20/11/2024 13:14

My teen has just got into scrapbooking which I suppose is a more grown up version of a sticker book, maybe they'd like a scrapbooking starter kit each?

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 20/11/2024 13:15

I’m 43 and would love a sticker book…

Orchid887 · 20/11/2024 13:22

Would something like this maybe feel "grown up" and also link into their interests?
My 10 year old niece is besotted with any sort of "grown up" jewellery!
And only £8.99 but tons of different ones on amazon.

My daughter just turned 11 and big hits were cute stationery (pens, highlighters, notepads etc), Lego, body spray, a sparkly bracelet,. Sleep masks
