Evening all,
I'm looking to book an experience in London for our family (teens to grandparents) for Christmas. We've tried monopoly live before. Are there any others you'd recommend?

Hopeful bump

Gunpowder Plot immersive experience is great for all ages.

HoHoHoliday · 26/11/2024 19:26

Also the Crystal Maze live game.

War of the worlds is great, not cheap but so clever if you like a bit of sci fi. Amazing mix of acting, special effects and VR.

Hidden City treasure hunts are fab but probably better in warmer weather.

Interactive Dali was fun.

I second the gunpowder plot. I didn’t love Van Gogh-it wasn’t very interactive and the actual interactive bit made me feel sick.

London dungeons have an escape room based on Guy Faulkes.

RealHousewivesOfTaunton · 26/11/2024 19:55

The War of the Worlds experience was great if you don't mind a bit of jumping out of your skin! No problem solving required. I want to do the Gunpowder Plot experience by the same people.

The Sherlock Experience is also really good. It's a mix of interactive experience and escape room.

How was live Monopoly BTW? 14yo DS loves the boardgame so I was thinking about taking him.

Monopoly live was good fun, but I thought some of the puzzles were hard so a giggle but frustrating at the same time.

Lara Croft experience was good- we liked the active side of it.

Would love the gunpowder plot but it's not on the day we want to go.

Have never been but Phantom Peak looks fun!

Littlebelina · 26/11/2024 21:02

War of the worlds is excellent. Van goth was good but not really interactive

DreadPirateRobots · 26/11/2024 21:05

You could do Taskmaster Live if there are any Taskmaster fans among you.

RealHousewivesOfTaunton · 26/11/2024 22:03

We did Lara Croft with the DC a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it.

I haven't been but DH has done Crystal Maze a couple of times and rates it.

BackToRealitySigh · 26/11/2024 22:08

Shame about gunpowder plot - we went last week & it was excellent.
Crystal Maze is great & I think The Cube might be on now?
We're off to Paddington on Friday - might be an option?

My teens loved Frameless, immersive art exhibition. It's incredible.

Has anyone been to the wizard exploratorium? Afternoon tea potion making fun? Looks good but is it really?

We really enjoyed the Twist museum. The adults enjoyed it just as much as intellectually it peaked our interest. Kids thought it was cool. Looking for half term now.

Can confirm this. We loved it. So much better than the Stranger Things one we went to

Crystal Maze is really good fun especially if you were a fan of the tv show. Very nostalgic.
