So where I live I myself and my neighbours have driveways . So my neighbour next to me has a driveway and signs saying no parking . me I have a no parking disable person living here . So my neighbour next to me extended his driveway way before we moved here . He has a large white van which he doesn’t park across his own driveway but pushed close to my driveway that it’s squeeze for me to back out the drive and I can’t have anyone who vists to help with my daughter park across my driveway he on the other hand leaves his driveway clear for his son to park his car there would you say something to him or just leave it

I can understand, it is annoying. Is it obstructing your view? If so, you could politely ask him to move it up a bit, explaining why.

Yup it does I back out slowly as scared a car will hit me I’ve told him to push his van back and gets so angry with me so kinda scared to ask anymore

Can you reverse into your drive so that you can pull out?

Marblesbackagain · 18/11/2024 18:38

Reverse in.

Not yet getting my driveway extended to be made wider in next few weeks but worried as it going to be wider he still could block my driveway as where it’s going to now he has to move back more over his gate

Sorry you are having this. He sounds unpleasant.

Senmum1981 · 18/11/2024 19:41

Yup he is I mean I was thinking of just parking next to my driveway and leaving my driveway clear for people who vist and help with my daughter but would that be me being nasty ??

You should be reversing onto your driveway really anyway, but I would just park across the bottom of my driveway next to him. I absolutely feel your pain, our next door neighbour is an obnoxious twat over parking and even ragged down our no parking sign, up for the benefit of his driveway not being blocked as well as ours (put up when we had a nice next door neighbour).

I might have to do that park at the bottom of my driveway and hopefully he will understand that he needs to move back I am thinking of talking to our housing association as it’s annoying myself and the services who helps my daughter but am I being extreme as the driveway will be extended wider in a few weeks
