What does this mean? Re CSA safeguarding

I did a Safeguarding course last week and there was a phrase that did not make sense: Many children who are sexually abused by a carer will have no visible signs at all due to the attacker not wanting to leave evidence, among other reasons that emerge during the grooming process.

I understand the first part, but what does among other reasons that emerge during the grooming process mean?

Reading it through several times, I think they're referring to other reasons the abuser would leave no signs which would become established throughout the grooming process (ie the abuser will threaten the child that they must not tell anyone, it's our secret, you'll get in trouble if you tell anyone, no one will believe you over me etc)

It's a badly written sentence isn't it!

But why would that grooming prevent the child displaying unconscious signs such as physical discomfort or withdrawal?

So my mother was sexually abused. She was obsessed by making sure everything looked normal to the outside world. In her case to make sure nothing happened to her sister.

Maybe they mean the child will have been groomed to accept it as a sign of love/normal family behaviour so won't show any visible signs like withdrawing from family etc

Yes, I think it's alluding to grooming making the child believe that the abuse is normal or that they are part of a consenting relationship

'alluding' is not really good enough in this context is it
everything should be crystal clear

I'd leave feedback to that effect
