Mobile phone provider recommendations.

This is my third attempt in a week to get some advice on recommendations for mobile phone providers, so here goes again.
It's just not been my year. Multiple visits to O2 stores, got nowhere.
I'm having problems making and receiving calls to my mobile from my home address.
My phone is set to use WiFi for calling, but it's still not great.

I've been with O2 for 24 years, but realistically I need to look at moving on.
Any recommendations?
I don't particularly want to go down the line of online support providers eg Giffgaff.
Any help warmly accepted.

We have ee sim cards and buy our handsets outright

I was having same issue with 3. I've now put my daughters on EE and I'm with giffgaff.
I love giffgaff as I can play with the cost and plan each month and never have an issue with reception

I believe a lot of the "lesser" providers use o2 lines so wouldn't help in your case. I'm with Tesco who use o2 and I really recommend them but not for you. If you're in a rural area or one without signal, ask around the local area but take it with a pinch of salt. My mum lives in the middle of nowhere and only EE get service. I drop off a cliff as I enter the village. Don't remember that being a thing previously.

EE are more expensive but do seem to cover more. You might be able to get a deal if you have broadband with BT.

@PeaceOutGirlScout Yes I'm aware of the term "piggy backing" so I need to look out for that, as you say Tesco use O2.
Had a long phone call this evening without any problems, so I'm hoping that switching to WiFi calling will solve my problem with phoning from home.

I have a qork phone (O2) and personal mobile (EE) in a semi rural place. EE hands down much better than O2

@socks1107 from what I understand, Giffgaff use 02 as their provider, so that wouldn't help me.
I'm now using WiFi as my preferred way of calling, it's somewhat getting round my issues with O2 at my home address.
Don't know if it will last, but I've exhausted every avenue with O2 in trying to solve the problem.

Ask your neighbours who they use and how good their signal is indoors?

@dementedpixie thanks for your reply.
I own my phone and use an O2 SIM card.
I've had my phone checked out, so it's definitely an O2 problem.
It's really frustrating, but I'm moving forward at the moment with using WiFi calling & my two phone calls this evening were better.

@MasterOfOne thanks for your message and comment on EE.
Glad to hear that EE is meeting your needs.......noted.

I am based in London and Lebara is great. They use Vodafone infrastructure and I only pay £9/month for 30GB. You don’t need to make a commitment either. So you can easily switch if you are not happy.

Use my code to get %50 off for 3 months.
