Tooth extraction x2 today, eating struggle but need to for medication

I had my two last molars on my top right removed this morning. Both cut into pieces before the pushing, cracking and pulling started.

I am on several medications - Gabapentin and Lamotrigine that I have to take 3x a day and it has to be with food. I've not taken the midday dose as it was only 1 hour post extraction but if I avoid more I am at risk of seizures.

What's the best thing to eat? I tried a mouthful of yoghurt not long ago and it felt like I was just filling the holes. I don't want to end up with 2 dry sockets.

Thanks, I'm having sedation so am hoping it will be ok.

@Oucht ye iv had quite a lot of teeth out over the years because my mother had to have medical treatment while she was pregnant that affected the enamel on my teeth. Saying that this is the first one iv needed out in a decade and the rest seem ok according to the dentist so fingers crossed I’m ok for a while! but ye it’s not my first rodeo.
im not going to have the rice just the dhal but thanks for the advice.
iv just found leftover cauliflower cheese in the fridge thought so I might cook it so it goes really soft then mash it so it like eating mash instead.

gosh that must be horrible hopefully the two you had out will mean you get a bit of respite from the condition for now.

Sorry you've had to have more too. God its throbbing tonight and I am being a wimp.
I've had dry socked and an infection before with past extractions so I'm very nervous about that. The stitches are pulling on my gums too. The back of my gums look like a some kind of sewing practise. There's a big stitch behind each hole and then a bunch between them.

Was feeling good earlier and now I'm 😩

I had mashed potato, ice cream and wine to keep up my calories after my extractions!

ye I’ve had dry socket once and the pain was so bad I was literally driving my face into the mattress, it’s the only thing I’m scared of happening this time around. The pain is not great but as long as it doesn’t turn into dry socket il manage!
dentist told me yesterday she had dry socket herself once and said she wanted to remove all the teeth around it so that tells me if a dentist describes it like that it’s not just us being wimps!

hopefully the throbbing settles but if it doesn’t don’t just live with it until it gets terrible call them!
