Hi can anyone please help.

I'm desperate. Obviously I never dreamed of this moment when I planned to have a family. Yes we are getting help and no we won't put up with this forever. But I need a short term fix.

In short - disabled daughter - loud music - angry when asked to switch it off - music now giving me panic attacks - aggressive and has physically attacked me before.

Does anyone know a way to permanently and discretely disable a Bluetooth speaker which can be powered by batteries as well as mains.

Mains only I'd be laughing.

Well not really. But y'know.

Thanks. Thought if anyone knew how to do this one of you vipers would. Sick of feeling sick in my own home. And worried for my health.

Definitely just get it wet. That should work. Make sure you submerge the bottom where the batteries should go.

Chowtime · 09/11/2024 20:56

remove batteries?
change password on wifi?

Thanks for brilliant no judgement replies. Lovely to have some practical support :)

Bit worried they will try to plug it in if the batteries don't work. Not sure how long I'd have to dry it out - they are usually not out for more than 6 hours at a time. Very worried about possible electrocution. Am I being daft? I'm all over the shop in terms of risk.

Does anyone know of any way other than water please ?

Thanks

unscrew the back and disable the wires inside and hide the mains plug

Drop it on to concrete?

WhereistheDinrefrigerator · 09/11/2024 22:04

Oh dear it fell out her bedroom window onto the pavement below

Connect your device to the speaker via Bluetooth, so that their device can’t connect to it.

Unscrew and the back and snip the cables. Agree that water might be dangerous.

BangFlash · 10/11/2024 10:18

Yes just unscrew somewhere and cut any wires you see.

Hope you can solve the behaviour once you have the quiet mental space to think about it.
