My daughter is starting Forest school next week and I need to get her kitted out

What items of clothing are best and what brands did you get?

Thanks

I got the fleece lined waterproofs from lidl - you can also get them on vinted.

Just old clothes, wellies, thick socks. Ask them what outer layer they want them in. Ours usually just put them in waterproof trousers (they provided) and normal winter coat and hat (when it’s really cold) or waterproof mac. We didn’t buy anything special we didn’t already own.

That's a good idea, thank you!

Fleece lined waterproofs, thick socks and wellies you know won’t leak! Then normal clothes under a waterproof winter coat - layers then they can take off if needed

There are some things they ask for that we don't have zip up fleece, waterproofs, thermal under garments for winter, fleece gloves etc. I just wondered what people found useful and what brands were good.

For winter ours asked them to wear leggings under jogging bottoms, a pair of normal socks under a pair of Welly socks (and wellies) on feet, long-sleeved t-shirt, fleece, potentially another jumper layer, and waterproof coat and trousers (separate for easier toileting). In summer, assuming it's shady, they wore long-sleeved t-shirt (protection against ticks/sun) and jogging bottoms and just the Welly socks.

They also had either a wooly hat or sun hat, depending on the weather.

Oh and waterproof gloves.

In terms of brand, most of ours was Asda for normal clothes and mountain warehouse for fleece and waterproofs.
