I've just seen someone on Facebook talk about sticking their head above the "parrot pit" and it's cracked me up 🤣

Any other good ones?!

Someone on another forum asked what a DH was. They got told it was a dead husband!

Dick Head is more appropriate for most MN threads.

To the person who invented spellcheck.... I hope you rot in hello

PuddleglumtheMarshWiggle · 07/11/2024 14:31

I once had to email all staff requesting volunteers for a gardening project. Spellcheck doesn't recognise the word "wellies"
I asked all staff to bring their own "willies!"

Xyz1234567 · 07/11/2024 14:33

My brother's wife lost her job. I wrote I hope she finds another . He replied, 'Yeah I hope she dies soon!'
Instead of does soon.

Hahahahhahaha!

Back in the prehistoric pre-internet days, we used to mail out a paper newsletter to all our customers. Just before I started that job, my (very religious) manager forgot the 'l' I the word 'public'. Luckily it was spotted before going in the post but unluckily after the company has spent £1000s on printing it. He had to have the l added in and get the whole thing reprinted and sent out late.

Isometimeswonder · 07/11/2024 14:41

Regards can very easily become retards.... as my boss discovered!

BarbaraVineFan · 07/11/2024 14:42

Writing to the Head of the school I was working in : 'sorry to disturb you, I know you are very busty'

Nikitaspearlearring · 07/11/2024 14:47

It was a kind jester.

It smacks of intolerance and mahogany.

There will be a shortage of staff over Christmas and only one manger on duty.

(Not mine, but ones I've seen.)

I've received and sent some funny texts due to predictive text. One that sticks iny mind was when I text my DD asking her to top up our electric key. Predictive text asked her to top up our electric guitar.

Joolsin · 07/11/2024 17:24

I have to be very careful when typing the surname "White" - my left hand always wants to substitute an S for the W!

JohnTheRevelator · 07/11/2024 17:25

In the pre-internet and mobile phone days,I remember reading about a celebrity (can't for the life of me remember who it was) who before becoming famous, was working as a temp. Apparently she typed the word 'hovel' instead of 'hotel' in a report. Made me laugh.

Planits · 07/11/2024 17:28

As an account manager, I frequently used to
email people about their “accunt”

A colleague sent an email to senior management suggesting they get their dicks in a row

TigerRag · 07/11/2024 17:56

I once typed Yorkshite instead of Yorkshire

RaininSummer · 07/11/2024 18:03

Notes at work should have mentioned 'public facing roles' but this wally typed 'pubic facing'. Definitely not paid enough for that.

Mymanyellow · 07/11/2024 18:10

I texted my dd once to ask how my fav son in law was. Instead I asked how’s my fat son in law.

ThePoshUns · 07/11/2024 18:11

I once wrote a statement for a woman who had been 'licked out' by her ex partner.
I had meant to type 'locked out'.

niadainud · 07/11/2024 21:38

Of course the one in the OP won't be a typo...

MeowCatPleaseMeowBack · 07/11/2024 22:46

All tomato

Once asked for advice on quick, easy and cheap meals. I mentioned that I was a student and was a bit bored of eating mice (mince) meat. To which someone asked whether I really that poor (I wasn't!) that I was eating mice...

Used to post on a forum where most weeks people would ask what people's plans were for the weekend. To which someone said they were doing a 12 hour long shit...
