Do you feel guilty working from home if you are under the weather? So many people seem to drag themselves in with everything and it makes me feel like I should, even when I’m getting work done from home and not off sick.

Ask your manager for guidance, what is the norm for that work place? Mine would rather you work from home at the first sign of a sniffle or cough rather than spread it around but others are obviously stricter especially if you are impacting meetings are face to face engagement.

It’s stressing me out, because I feel I need to be in the office but I’m still feeling rubbish!

If you're feeling rubbish then please take sick leave!

It would be nice to have the option. Lots of people have to go to work when they feel crap, so don't feel guilty, feel glad you have the option.

It used to drive me up the wall when people would come in to the office with a cold/tummy bug because they 'didn't want to let the team down'. They'd inevitably end up infecting half the team with whatever lurgy they had. It's selfish, especially in an environment where you can WFH if need be

My manager always says if you're too ill to come in you should be off sick - though she's saying that from a welfare pov rather than presenteeism. I think there is a sense that people should be taking time off sick if they need to rather than struggling on at home. But I definitely think there is a middle ground where you are snotty and sneezy, don't want to infect colleagues, can't face the commute, but you can perfectly well WFH that day.

Absolutely. Or if you had D&V the day before but now feel ok.
