And I'm not sure is this is normal.

He (you guessed it was a man?) is generally moving in the same circles as me and we're often at the same events anyway, but in the last few weeks he's messaging me almost daily with ideas for things to do. Sometimes he invites others too, so I don't think he's intending it as dates, they don't feel like dates when we're together, but so far since Friday he's asked me to go to all these things in the next couple of weeks:

Join his quiz team
Go to the fireworks
See a band
A new restaurant
Music recital
Enter a sports thing
A black tie charity event
Bingo!
See a football match
Watch him perform his own music (I've seen him before, he's very good).

We also train for our sport together at least twice a week, usually have coffee or breakfast after.

He is someone who loves life and likes to be busy, he has other friends, maybe he's asking everyone, but this isn't normal?

Simply cherry pick the things you want to go to. And only go to the group events if you have an inkling he wants more and you don't.

C'mon, he's inviting others too because he's trying to play it cool and doesn't want to scare you off! He soon won't be inviting others. So you need to decide whether you "want" him or not!

I didn't guess it was a man, should I have?

I don't think it's weird, because some people are extroverts and can't bear to spend a second alone. It also sounds like they're ideas he's throwing out rather than actually doing all those things in the next two weeks specifically.

But the bingo would put me off. Had a friend who worked at a bingo hall as a teenager, he said a lot of the women pee themselves because they don't want to miss a number and it makes the seats nasty.
