Gift for GP

I’d like to get my GP a small gift and a card because she is fantastic. She always involves me when making decisions regarding my treatment and always seeks my input, even though I don’t expect her to! I’m very grateful - especially because that hasn’t been the case with my previous GPs.

I was thinking of getting her one of those light up candles from M&S, or is that not allowed?

Or should I play it safe and get a box of biscuits for the staff at the surgery to share?

What would you do? Bonus points if you work at a GP surgery!

I would get something to share around. There may be rules about accepting personal gifts (I don’t know, but I imagine it’s a bit like teachers). A card would probably be the most appreciated with a thoughtful message. It’s an often thankless job and it’s nice to hear you’ve made a real difference to someone.

Do you mean you get her a gift every time you see her, OP?

No, just wanted to show my thanks because I’ve been going through a difficult time and she has been brilliant
