How can I support independent farms?

Like many (who actually understand the importance of farming) I am utterly shocked and appalled by yesterday's budget.

I'm exceptionally lucky to have some farm shops selling local produce and I've decided after yesterday I don't care how convenient it is to grab something whilst doing the shop in Tesco from now one I simply won't, I'll go to the farm shop.

However, it just doesn't seem enough.

What can I do?
Where can I show my support?
Is there the equivalent of Kickstarter to help invest in farms looking for ways to modernise?
Is there anyway the common person can object to the budget IHT issue for farmers?
This 1 million limit is utterly ridiculous and for the first time I want to go on strike and object like the French

It it to designed to deter investors buying up farms due to the loophole? Not arguing as haven’t caught up on the budget yet due to half term. We have a weekly delivery from a scheme with independent farm shops.

If it's a deterrent it's the least thought out deterrent ever.
All this will achieve is the destruction of the small and medium sized farm, farms will be forced to sell and break up, which may allow labour to hit their housing targets but in the process destroys any control over our food.

What possible motivation is there for a farming family to work 365 days a year for less than minimum wage knowing there is no legacy and nothing for their family to inherit except a one off wind fall, that is not what custodians of the land want

Work out a way to separate working farms from tax avoiders who buy a huge farm and let a few chickens loose/stick a few tomatoes in a grow bag or similar and claim to be 'farmers' in law and then campaign for agricultural relief to be reinstated for genuine farmers.

Mumsnet will probably hate the sentiment, but this is likely something that Jeremy Clarkson can usefully raise awareness of as an issue in his farm programme.
