When a doctor asks how much you drink, what do you say?

You know the usual questions when you’re at a medical appointment- do you smoke/if yes, how heavily, do you drink/if so to what extent etc.

If you drink alcohol, how do you answer, and what does your drinking pattern actually look like?

I think this blanket ”doubling what the patient say” is pretty contemptuous as a blanket rule actually. Plenty of people do take the lower risk guidelines seriously and drink within them and would answer honestly I’m sure.

I tell the truth. I don't often drink at home but have a few when I go out which is usually every couple of months.
