My daughter wants to see Tyler the creator.
She's 15 and Autistic.

She's been to a couple of concerts but they've been at Manchester Apollo so much smaller venue and she's got there a couple of hours early and always stood at the front (small artists)

I'm going to try to get tickets this morning but I don't know whether to get standing or seated.

She said she wants to go 4 hours early so she's at the front but I explained it's a much bigger concert than she is used to.

I don't know if standing will be too much for her, even if she is at the front?

I am disabled (have a blue badge) so is there a disability seating area that might be better?

I'm just not sure what to do.

Thankyou,

She's said she wants standing tickets but I don't think she will be able to see unless she is at the very front and God knows how early we would have to be to get to the front.

It's not my thing at all. Not looking forward to it tbh

you cant go 4 hours early. Doors open at 6(?). first act on 7 or 7.30? Standing at the front is awful for those of us with no issues. just get a seat on the side eg 1st tier (maybe expensive). those who pay the bill get to pick imo because when you need the toilet you wan to get in/out easily.

I don't know how to work the website :(

What does that mean?
That there will be more available later?
I got her 2 standing tickets, that's all I could get but realised the bit near the stage is called the golden circle?? And is different so she's definitely not going to be neat the front.

If I get seated tickets in the general sale can I cancel these and get a refund?

Where did you get tickets from please?
I'm after tickets for Birmingham but don't believe they go on sale until tomorrow...

BearSoFair · 29/10/2024 12:31

Was that Ticketmaster OP? If so, they'll only refund if the show itself is cancelled but you may be able to list them for resale (through TM itself rather than a third party site). The blocks in blue will be the ones where there are tickets available, the greyed out ones are unavailable. I've never been to that venue but if it's flat ground you're probably not going to have a great view from standing with the golden circle being in front. I usually go for seats in arena shows just to guarantee I can see something!

WhamBhamThankYouMham · 29/10/2024 12:35

Just be careful on age - we've bought some for London this morning but only noticed afterwards that it's over 16s only. ID does get checked at some venues.

Squidge123 · 29/10/2024 13:13

I have got some for my 16 year old today for him and 2 friends at Birmingham is the American Express presale today and I managed to find a friend who had one!
Gold circle standing was £132 and he didn't want normal standing so went with some cheaper seats at £83.

She's adamant she wants standing.
I think her dad is going to take her cause I can't do it 🤣

She will be 16 by the concert.

@TylerTheCreator

You can get access seating if you have evidence to show you need it but that won't put you at the front where she wants to go.

I couldn't figure it out.

There were seats available but they had a wheelchair symbol and I'm not in a wheelchair and it said for wheelchair users only?
And then it said stuff about carer/companion tickets being bought with accessibility tickets

I just didn't understand what I was supposed to do.
I have a blue badge

@TylerTheCreator

I haven't done it via Ticketmaster before, I understand that is the system for the Co-op arena but normally the venue wants you to contact them directly

The info for the Co Op Arena is here :

ValleyClouds · 29/10/2024 16:24

@TylerTheCreator

From what I can work out on 1 Nov at 10 am you go on, you press the wheelchair symbol for All Ticket Types and you choose Ambulant Disabled, you then send a copy of your Blue Badge which should be on request

Best of Luck

I've just attempted as a sort of dummy exercise to see how easy it is to book disability access at the Co-Op, it's really not, it seems like a free for all.
